Sports Performance Coach Rick Saggese encourages everyone to ‘GET ICED’
(March 12, 2022 – Naples, FL) Rick Saggese, owner and founder of TOTD Sports Performance, is encouraging everyone to consider the term GET ICED. His new campaign focuses on a healthier mental state around training, playing and everyday living.
Saggese has been working as a personal performance coach for the past two decades and opened his training facility in 2012 to train students of all ages. His expertise and focus began with baseball but has been expanded to train athletes in all areas of sports.
His new campaign to ‘GET ICED’ has developed from years of observing his students and realizing that mental training is just as important for the overall well-being of a person as physical training, no matter the age.
GET ICED stands for Inhale Confidence, Exhale Doubt. Saggese explains that pressures and expectations in competitive environments change our thoughts and/or emotional aspects within our body such as the heart rate, breathing patterns and the doubt process in the mind. He adds that creating a positive routine to overcome negative thoughts allows you to control these emotions and can be learned and practiced in stressful situations.
“A word becomes a thought and a thought can create an action,” says Saggese. “GET ICED – inhale confidence exhale doubt is about breathing and finding your inner power. Getting in the proper mindset sets you up to allow your habits to play fully rather than your thoughts. It has to do with the part of the brain called the Reticular Activating System (RAS) which is the mechanism in your brain that helps you make goals a reality.”
Saggese launched the GET ICED campaign with the help of his followers who practice the motto. He encourages visualization and has created several products to help remind people to just breathe, relax and stay focused on the positive. Saggese is offering his positive visual products to his client and to the community. He encourages and challenges everyone to GET ICED.
